Busy Busy Busy

I'll admit it. Things have been Hectic! I've got three more days in my life of crime and then I'll have to change my About Me. So. Excited. Stay Tuned.

Also, I'm not going to lie. I haven't been unfaithful BUT I have been spending a lot of time on Tumblr. I'm officially obsessed....hate to self promote but check me out here. It's kind of like a Twitter for bloggers. All in the one place and you can re-post people's pics with the click of the button. Much more fast paced but I'm not sure I'm completely ready to give up on blogspot. I love the visual community that has been created on Tumblr although I also love the individuality the blogspot gives Joanjude.

Anywho...here are two things that have caught my eye this week.


Lucy McCrae's Second Skin - Vogue Shoot

Lucy McCrae spoke at Melbourne's State of Design Festival. Sadly I missed it but I did get to see these pics and also learn that she did Robyn's Indestructible video. She created a costume made of 1.2 kilometres of plastic tubing and coloured water was pumped through while the music played. Gaga eat your heart out. This is amazing.

I really liked Garance's post 'Old+New'. Model Zuzanna talks about how she puts together an outfit. Something vintage, something old, something new and maybe one expensive, one cheap. So simple yet so true.

Can't decide whether I  Love or Hate this dress. Could be a cute transition into Spring or it could be a wash you out and highlight the pastiness of Winter situation. Loving the print and detail though.

WoW. So got evacuated from my work today (obvs best day ever) and what did I do with my afternoon? Got Serious! Yep, it was the time so I bought this book AND did my tax return. Stop.It. Seriously.

Scott Belsky looks like a pretty switched on kind of guy. He was named one of the top 100 most creative people in 2010 by Fast Company (FYI Gaga = #1) and he is coming to Melbourne as part of Portable Talks. I am considering heading along so I thought I should probably buy the book and see what his caper is. Let's hope it's not full of phrases like 'the only thing between you and success is yourself' and 'hang in there it will happen!'. I have minimal scepticism at this point though.

Girls We Hated in High School

The new bag range by Jeffrey Campbell 'Girls We Hated in High School' is shot really well. I am on the fence when it comes fringe bags but this collection is making me want to embrace the fringe! I must admit, JC was getting a bit old in my book with their repetitive platform heels but this campaign is fresh as daisys. Did you know they are also doing a collab with Stolen Girlfriends Club? Also amazing. Check it here
